Thanksgiving Party

This is the table.  The tablecloth and plates are from  iparty.
It was a mix of fancy and cheap.

I made pilgrim napkin rings.  This is Cilantro, Sage, and me.

This is Paprika, Coco, and Oregano.

This is called popcorn.  It is the Thanksgiving version of a Christmas cracker.

This is Sage in an indian costume I made for her.
My costume was just one I found at a consignment store.

This is Oregano playing a game called Tippy Tepee.
It is kind of like Jenga.

I made a cranberry apple pie for dessert.  It was OK.
Not quite as yummy as I was hoping.
These are bacon beanstalks.  They were pretty easy to make.

Cupcake Warz

I am signing up for Dartmouth Cupcake Warz.  I like the show Cupcake Wars on the Food Network, and I like making cupcakes.  So I'm excited about it.  You bake your cupcakes the day before. Then you bring them to the place they're doing it, and set up a booth with your cupcakes for people to sample.  People make a donation, and then they can sample the cupcakes.  It is a fundraiser for CHAD( Children's Hospital at Dartmouth).
I decided to make a cupcake that I made last Christmas.  It is a gingerbread cupcake.  Last year the frosting I made didn't turn out well.  This year I'm making a brown sugar cinnamon ginger buttercream frosting.  I made them today, and they turned out good. Yay!  Cupcake Warz is tomorrow.  I will post pictures later.

Catching up

My family and I had a good Christmas. I had another party on the 21st. It was a general Christmas theme. We had bagel pizza wreaths, red velvet cupcakes with mint frosting, salad, and holiday iced tea. To start I stuck stickers that said various Christmas things on everyone's back. They had to guess what they were by asking yes or no questions. We also played the box game. To play the box game all you have to do is wrap up something small, and then put it in a series of boxes(1 box inside of another). Then pick a number like 4 and tell everyone. Take turns rolling 1 or 2 dice until someone rolls the number. When someone rolls the number they have to put gloves on and try to unwrap the gift. Everyone else keeps rolling. If someone else rolls the number then they take a turn. You keep going until someone has unwrapped the gift. They win. I also got everyone stockings instead of goody bags. I filled them with things they might want before Christmas(for example:I got Sage some Christmas socks so she could wear them on Christmas morning). I made clues for them to hunt for there stockings.
Today I made ricotta, provolone, spinach, ham, and salami pie.

Today I made homemade baked macaroni and cheese. It was good. Sage has been picky about food lately, but she really liked it.
